How does GTP work?
The GTP system is ideal for ergonomic, precise and error-free order picking of items stored in containers. The storage container supplied via a roller conveyor is centrally stopped and the specific take-out compartment – with a subdivision of up to 8 compartments in the storage container – is marked by lighting.
Pick to light: reduction of picking errors
As soon as a product has to be taken from a workstation, the LED indicator shows the required number and instructs the system via light bars in which compartment the item should be placed in the delivery container. Additional information about the order picking task can be displayed on the monitor. The order picker confirms this action by pressing the lit button. Practical applications indicate that this approach results in a significant reduction in the number of picking errors.
Efficient and ergonomic
After each order picking task, the system checks whether one or more delivery containers are complete. An additional weight check of the container is also possible. This offers 100% certainty. While complete containers are automatically discharged, the next order picking task starts at the workstation. The order picker at the workstation is offered the storage containers comfortably; the containers are automatically tilted to further improve ergonomics.
Minimal chance of error
The GTP system from Inther can process up to 4 to 6 orders at a time. This means processing up to 1000 picks per hour. Compared to traditional order picking, this results in a significant increase in picking performance. All this thanks to the efficient and simple method. With position indication via LED bars or LED strips, monitors, barcode scanners and a weighing control system, the error probabilities are minimal. And for the staff, the system is ergonomically optimized and can be instructed quickly. Convenience serves people…and the distributor!
